About Department
Department of Philosophy established in the year 1953 is providing quality teaching. Philosophy is the study of the general and fundamental nature of reality, existence, knowledge, values reasoning. It has been divided into many sub fields. It has been divided chronological (Ancient and Modern); by topic (The major topic being epistemology; Logic, Metaphysics, Ethics and Aesthetics and by style (e.g. Analytic Philosophy). As a method philosophy is often distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its questioning, critical, general systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument.

: Acquaintance with the Global as well as Indian thought in the fields of philosophy, culture and career.
Mission
- To make students sensitive and responsible citizens of the country.
- To women empowerment in its true essence which would bring about self- reliance.
