It is my honor and privilege to be the founder Vice Chancellor of Jamshedpur Women’s University; the first women university of Jharkhand. In all earnestness Jamshedpur Women’s University will assiduously peruse paths to realize the motto of the institution. The journey of Jamshedpur Women’s College to that of a University has been a long and arduous one. Today Jamshedpur Women’s University is synonymous for excellence in academics, teaching, inter and multi-disciplinary research; to promote and satiate intellectual appetite for advancement in its students via multi-faceted education and co-curricular activities. Inclusive practices of the University, imparts holistic education. The university runs courses in under-graduation, post-graduation, Research and 11 vocational certificate and degree courses in its campus. Jamshedpur Women’s University provides best tertiary education to women of this tribal belt and acts as a catalyst in shaping bright and sustainable future of our nation and creates empathetic global citizenship. The institution provides an environment and ambiance to make one life-long learners. The University is striving to facilitate women education of Sabar community, third gender and sports exceeders. Jamshedpur Women’s University is committed to make teaching – learning “student centric” which makes every young mind within its portal independent and questioning by inculcating creative thinking and social responsibility. This builds resilient character in young women. Jamshedpur Women’s University boasts of a strong dedicated capable team of educators and staffs who actively participate in government recognized trainings, conferences, workshops and FDP programmes.
